Enjoying life, Metropolitain by Greg Mirzoyan

Paris based photographer Greg Mirzoya lives and works as a freelance photographer in Paris, France. He specialized in fashion, portraiture, sport and social photography.
More curious is that he originally having been influenced by Paris's rollerblading scene.

In his Vimeo profile you can find some awesome videos with this theme. All his videos, made with the finest stopmotion technique, have one thing in common: enjoying life extremely intense. That's what I like most.

In this video we se one of Gregs models who walks about of the Paris undergrond/subway called 'Metropolitain' (the title of this video). She's really enjoying life and the beauty of Paris. The ambience and lightning of the video is amazing.

I wish you all a great weekend and enjoy life to the max!!

Boggling illustrations by Yehrin Tong

Turkish illustrator Yehrin Tong has got a great set of really mesmerizing illustrations, that she has created for wide range of clients worldwide (like M&C Saatchi, Billboard Magazine, Royal Bank Of Scotland, GQ Russia, Russian Tatler, VICE, Maharishi, The Future Laboratory etc.).
Caution: her illustrations are boggling your eyes!

(click the images for the original size)

Yehrin Tong graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA Hons in Graphic Design. Yehrin Tong has designed artwork for independent music labels; working with artists she met while regularly haunting the underground club scene of London.

Tong's main interests lie in creating illusory, eye-boggling yet mathematical pattern and typographic illustration. The work has encompassed ad campaigns on billboards and taxi cabs, elaborate repeat pattern and embroidery prints for fasion, as well as typographic cover and editorial illustration.

Tong’s work is complex and intricate. Aparently the words minimal and simple doesn't exist in Yehrins vocabulary.

Penelope Dullaghan's impressive Illustrations

The illustrator Penelope Dullaghan is a deserved award-winning illustrator, her illustrations are real eyecatchers so to speak. They are remarkable in my opinion because she combines perfectly colors and creates some stunning and beautiful scenes in her illustrations.
What I like most of all are her surprising ideas and scenes. Every illustration surprises and all in a true positive way. Every scene tell it's own story and give you reasons to think. Her typographic works are also impressive and significative.

Penelope started her freelance career after a five-year career as an art director. She chronicles her artistic development at her website, penelopeillustration.com and I recommend you to take a look there. She also heads up and contributes to a weekly creative outlet and participatory art exhibit: Illustration Friday (illustrationfriday.com).

Penelope's clients include renowned parties like Target, United Airlines, New York Times, LA Times Book Review, SF Chronicle, and the Oprah Magazine.

Here are some of her works, for a complete overlook of her portfolio a visit to her website is recommended:

Photography = Art by Marina Cano

It's not especially difficult to find well crafted and well taken images, but rarely do you come across photos that really represent art.
The photo portfolio of Marina Cano is stunning and qualify as fine art. Maria Cano is a landscape and wildlife photographer and is born in the Spanish province of Cantabria.

In 2009 her first photobook called 'Cabárceno' was published dedicated to the central theme 'animals'. Her breathtaking photos have illustrated various magazines around the world. She's able to capture unique situations with her camera, what shows that she has a great sensitivity.

Here are some of her photos but for a complete overlook of her work I recommend you to visit her profile on photo.net (which contains more than 500 photos!) and you can of course visit her website here.

Earthscape painting substructures by Andres Amador

Doesn't it feel much more healthier for one's mind and body to realize that nothing lasts, and enjoy life and art right now? ...

This could have been the inspiration of the sand artist Andres Amador who creates his sand art on to the beaches around San Francisco (USA). His paterns in the sand are erased by the tide on the end of the day. Quoting Amador: 'The art I create is intended as a reflection and a reminder of the grandeur that exists within every viewer and the beauty that abounds in our world.'

And he says he does not mind that his sand sculptures are at the mercy of the powerful elements of nature. 'The scale of my artwork combined with the fact that it will soon be erased calls attention to itself,' he said. 'Once I have finished a piece and can get up on the overlook to see my work and take photos, I completely let go of it.' This is a interesting opinion about art and life in general. That's similar to the sand mandalas of the buddist lama's in one of my previous posts.

I recommend a visit to the website of Andres Amador for more of his works.
